Immediately, she felt herself being sucked down deep into the Earth by an irresistible force. She could not breathe! She panicked! This must be the beginning of the severe and painful death she used to overhear her people say she would surely endure. She was accelerating downward at a speed she thought impossible. It was too dark to know where she was or what was surrounding her. The life is being sucked out of me. I’m dying. She thought of Yachay.
